Procedures for Cancellations of Service Times Due to Inclement Weather
Woodland Heights Christian Church prioritizes the safety and well-being of our members, guests, and all who join us for worship, programs, or fellowship—whether during the week or on Sunday mornings. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming and secure environment for everyone who visits our campus.
We always recommend that each individual use personal discernment in making the decision to attend any event or service during inclement weather conditions. We understand weather can occasionally affect travel conditions which is why we have established the following guidelines for canceling in-person services and events. These decisions are guided by official Indiana travel advisories and any snow emergency declarations issued for Montgomery County as found from the following state website: https://www.in.gov/dhs/travel-advisory-map/.
Cancellation Guidelines
Decisions regarding the cancellation of in-person services and events will be finalized no later than 6:00 AM on Sunday mornings or 3:00 PM on weekdays. Announcements will be communicated promptly through the following channels:
- The church website homepage
- Our official Facebook page
- The Woodland Heights Church Center app
Criteria for Cancellation
In-person services and events will be canceled, and online opportunities will be offered if Montgomery County issues:
- A Level 2 Travel Watch
- A Level 3 Travel Warning
- A Level 2 (Orange) Snow Emergency
- A Level 3 (Red) Snow Emergency
